#12 How to scale your community infinitely? | HelioHype | πŸ’œπŸ’›

Don't create a huge ghost town, create a huge bustling city

Hello, Helios! You need to scale your community quick while not turning it into a dead ghost town?I got you covered! Here you'll read about everything you need to do to make sure your community becomes the most engaged place while you do nothing about it.It sounds like a dream that can happen to any of you.End goal of any community is to get rid of the founder and make it autonomous. So that members take part more than founders themselves. There are only a few things that you need to do, but the first one of them is understanding one rule. This rule is going to explain to you why most of the people won't be active and what you can aim for.I call it The Rule of Power Fans.

1% are top contributors (power fans)9% are contributing a little bit90% are silent lurkers

As you can see, only 1% of people are going to be truly active in your community. And we can convert only those people to power fans. You identify those top 1% of people and then simply talk to them. That's it, there's nothing fancy about it. You just praise them for being active and ask for more. They'd love to give you more (especially if you give them rewards, but more about that in the next issues).More activity creates more activity, remember that. It becomes a virus, you just need to unleash it.After that, you need to either automate or let anyone else do the onboarding process. The most important moment is a transition from being a newbie to a member. You need to speed it up by onboarding people. But now just delegate it to someone else or systemize and let the machine do the work. What's the system?Well, you can have a bot, or you can do some simpler thing.Create a manifesto - DNA of your community, code of behaviour. This way, people will know whether they're a good fit. Or they'll adapt to the identity and become who they need to be.So, you just need to: remember The Rule of Power Fans, ask people to be active and just automate onboarding.I hope that helped you understand scaling better!See you next Sunday!Yours,Valeria
